Assassin's Creed: Origins is almost here, and by now that means that Ubisoft has released oodles of gameplay and story oriented trailers for fans around the world to get the gist of the game. That said, that doesn't mean there isn't room for some more…creative ads. Video game ads can range from fairly generic to downright awful, so it's really cool to see a company like Ubisoft come up with something like Tales From the Tomb.
The ad is a series of mini-skits involving the ancient hieroglyphics inscribed on the walls of the tombs. Check it out:
This isn't the first funny ad that Ubisoft has put out in recent weeks. For South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft launched a fan competition for becoming the "Official Fart" of the game alongside a rather hilarious trailer. Given that the game is intended to be funny, the trailer didn't exactly contrast the content it was offering, unlike this new Assassin's Creed: Origins trailer.
BioWare also recently put out a creative ad for their upcoming game, Anthem, in which they recruited an Edmonton-based corn maze company to design a maze shaped like an Exosuit from the game.
Assassin's Creed: Origins launches on October 27th, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
