Following the reveal of its new expansion and Xbox One release date, Conan Exiles developer Funcom hosted a livestream showing off the game running on Xbox One for the first time. What's immediately apparent is just how smoothly Conan Exiles' PC-oriented UI has been streamlined to work within the limitations of a controller. Check it out.
As you can see, the gameplay takes place within the new Frozen North expansion area and also shows off a few of the new gameplay mechanics. Temperature was teased as a new feature in the reveal, and the stream indicates that proximity to a heat source (IE: Fire) functions as a way to warm yourself up. There are also certain types of structures that better insulate the player from the cold, as building torches and fireplaces are very much a requirement in the frigid temperatures.
Conan Exiles will launch on Xbox One next week on August 16th in conjunction with its Frozen North expansion and will retail for $34.99. Current owners of Conan Exiles on PC will get the expansion (which adds 70% additional game space) for free.
