New Watch Dogs: Legion trailers for Story & Post-Launch Plans

You better start believing in live service games. You're in one.

With just a few weeks until Watch Dogs: Legions launches, Ubisoft has released tons of new details that players can look forward to experiencing. First up, here’s the new story trailer!

Ever since Ubisoft revealed the new Watch Dogs title, the major focus of both the marketing and footage that has been shown was the unique recruitment mechanic. Not only will players be able to win new talent from virtually every digital citizen of London but actually play as them.

It is indeed the biggest department of the past Watch Dogs games but the accompanying Post-Launch & Season Pass trailer show that Ubisoft has even bigger plans for Watch Dogs: Legions. Watch it here!

It’s clearly apparent that unlike the previous two games, Legion is taking a lot more inspiration from The Division franchise when it comes to supporting the player-base in the long run.

As part of that goal, an online mode will be added to the game on December 3rd. In this mode, a party of up to four players can explore the streets of London and recruit new people into the resistance. Special co-op missions will further sweeten the package.

Dynamic events are also incoming which are a must in for any live service game. An eight-player PvP mode where you fight with spider bots is also a series first.

One thing that the old Watch Dogs games were lauded for is the return of invasions. Players can invade or be invaded by other players who pose as random citizens and hack them. It’s a brilliant asymmetric PvP mode that’s sure to spice the experience up even more.

This is all free content that will be added to all players. But owners of the Season Pass will receive even more goodness. Watch Dogs: Legion: Bloodline is the first story expansion and will feature a new campaign starring Aiden Pearce, the protagonist of the first Watch Dogs. The second game’s master hacker Wrench is also confirmed to make an appearance in the expansion and will be a new playable character.

Speaking of, two more additional playable characters are highlighting the Season Pass of Watch Dogs: Legion. With Mina, players will get basically a superhero character that can possess NPCs. Finally, after years of coexistence, Assassin’s Creed is finally joining Watch Dogs with the new playable character Darcy.

Watch Dogs: Legion is due out later this month, October 29th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 versions will launch together with the consoles.
